Yep, definitely broken. Mike took my laptop apart last night and it looks like when Sam knocked it over, the power supply input snapped completely off, so it is exactly what he did to Alli's computer. We were able to locate the part for $11 on Ebay, so it's ordered and Mike's going to try soldering it in once it arrives.
Stupid cat.
